Today’s story comes from Champlin, Minnesota, where 16-year old Shaine Kilyun is becoming known world-wide for her love of animals of all types, and using her free time to build wheelchairs for paralyzed or disabled animals. She started making wheelchairs for dogs in need at the local “home for life animal sanctuary,” and has saved the non-profit a lot of money in expenses by building the wheelchairs on her own time, as well as raising the money to cover material costs. Now, she’s receiving requests to help dogs in other countries like Saudi Arabia, and says she’s working on a wheelchair for a duck. Shaine’s love and dedication is giving dogs and animals a second chance at enjoying life. “i just love animals,” she said. “and i wanted to make a difference.
