A British soldier rowed across the Atlantic Ocean alone, finishing in South Florida.

Jack Jarvis started his journey in Portugal on Dec. 21, 2021. Since then, he rowed 14 to 15 hours a day to break the world record for the longest solo trans-Atlantic row.

“I said what’s never been done before, and they said no one has gone from mainland Europe to mainland North America and I was like right on,” Jarvis said.
