A former carpenter wants to make virtual learning a little easier amid the coronavirus pandemic
Friday, October 16th, 2020
This week’s story comes from Lemoore, California, where Mitchell Couch, Father of Four and a former Carpenter, wanted to help students being impacted by coronavirus and adapting to remote learning. Mitchell saw the importance of kids having workstations for school, so he used his carpentry skills to build dozens of desk to give to low-income families. He also posted plans on YouTube instructing others how to make their own desk for roughly $20 in materials. As word got out, Mitchell started to receive donations from local businesses, helping him continue to build free desks for those in need. Thanks for being a good neighbor, Mitchell!
